Then, a pickup truck allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection and hit the group of children. The truck was reportedly being driven by a 45-year-old man.
One of the children, a 13-year-old girl, was killed as a result of this accident. Another young girl was seriously injured in the accident and had to undergo knee surgery.
